Introducing Microsoft 365

All students and staff at HBHS have access to Microsoft Office 365. Here, students can create, edit and save their documents all in one place, using the latest Microsoft Office apps.  

Navigate to www.office.com in your web browser, then sign-in using your school email address (username@hernebayhigh.org) and password.

The school's licencing also allows you to download and install the Microsoft Office desktop apps on up to five home devices. Please click here to see further details. 

Installing Microsoft 365 apps on a home computer

As well as giving you access to all the Microsoft Office apps online, Herne Bay High School's subscription to Office 365 entitles every student to download and install a full version of the Office suite on up to five home computers.

Once Logged in at www.office.com click the 'Install Office' option in the top right hand corner.

Please note that once you leave HBHS your access to this software will stop. You will then need to purchase a new personal subscription if you wish to keep using these applications.

Accessing school emails at home 

Students can access their school email online by navigating to www.office.com ,signing-in with their school email address and password, and clicking the Outlook Icon (above). You may also wish to add your school email account to your mobile phone for convenience. The video below explains how to do this on Android and iOS devices:

 

Can I access Schoolwork using my Xbox or PlayStation?

Whilst there is no yet a dedicated app for Microsoft Teams on Xbox or PlayStation, you are able to access all the functionality of Microsoft 365, including Teams, via the web browser app on your console. This video takes you through the process:
